Happy Birthday Aunt Rosemary!!

Although you're already 80 - It's really never too late
To have a celebration - Though, we did have to wait
You've had an exciting life - No, it's not over yet
There's more for you to do - And more things for you to get!!

You love your crocheting - Or sitting down with a book
You love to volunteer for the church - Because you have a positive outlook
You raised three wonderful children - With nieces and nephews galore
You love playing cards - And parades with Drum and Bugle Corps!!

You feel that a little bit of wine - Is really good for the soul
But peanut butter and oranges - You wouldn't touch if cajoled
You're a caring, friendly person - Filled with love that you share
Your laughter is so contagious - It causes a smile anywhere!!

We have many wonderful memories - Of summers spent with you
It was always a wonderful time - When you'd take us to the zoo
Then there was that other time - At the Mall of America if you recall
When your flatulating got out of hand - And you ended up in the bathroom stall!!

It seems a simple fart - Took on a much larger role
Your shorts had to be turned around - For you to continue your stroll
But you took it all in fun - Which is why your loved so much
And why it's fun celebrating - With all the people your heart has touched!!

So to the Matriarch of the family - A happy birthday wish we give
And may you have many more - With the wonderful life you live
And your epitaph might read -"Her smile shone so bright
But she never wore white shorts - Especially if they fit tight"!!
