I rise for a toast - To the bride and the groom

But first I’ll digress - Bear with, as I illume

Before us are two people - Who are deeply in love

Though they’re both music lovers - It doesn’t fit like a glove!!

Donna’s taste goes to country - While John leans toward Rock

Donna loves her horses - Which certainly is no shock

They’re both into nature - And have a love for the land

With a menagerie of animals - As you can see firsthand!!

A love for education - This couple cannot deny

Their penchant for learning - Would cause others to cry

Please don’t misunderstand - I tease because I love

For this marriage is special - Sent from above!!

I know you’ll be happy - To leave the trailer behind

But you’ll remember it always - In the back of your mind

And thanks to El Nino - I say, tongue in cheek

When your windows arrive - Your new house won’t leak!

And John I must thank you - For I’ll never forget

Our climb up Mt. Whitney - And that black bear we met

He sure wanted my kool aid - As he ripped open my pack

Then you chased after him - And brought it all back!

Now an Allergist and a Botanist - Living on a farm

With six dogs and three cats - Could that cause any harm

Funny scenes come to mind - And a picture appears

But I won’t even go there - Have I made myself clear?

Enough with the humor - I speak from my heart

I’m so happy for you both - And my love I impart

As I raise up my glass - To toast Donna and John

We all wish you happiness - From this day on!!
