We met in Michigan, in the vast U P
Since we all had bikes, You had to be blind
not to see
We were out to explore, And enjoy the hard rides
With all things being relative, We didnt
need a guide!
Big Tom was the fastest, With intensity to spare
When you watched him ride, It didnt seem
fair
Nancy, his wife, Could really hold her own
She, Jim and Lee Ann, Were in their own zone!
Karen was the shopper, Reality was her friend
She might not be the fastest, But she had presents
to send!
Glen was the lawyer, And oh what a laugh
Not a care in world, He must be loved by his
staff!
And then the Sisters Drydyk, Who loved to look
at every stone
They let nothing stop them, Even going off alone
Jennifer, who taught Art in Cincinnati, Traveled
quite a bit
Kathryn, her sister from Kentucky, Found Lake
Michigan quite a hit!
Penny Harrington was a runner, The Boston Marathon
was her last race
Her life was full of adventure, And her laugh
was quite contagious
Scott and Jay Elston, Were brothers who bonded
well
They really liked each other, This was easy
to tell!
Jim and Lee Ann Kleeman, From Madison, dont
you know?
Were really impressive bikers, They could make
those pedals go!
I musnt forget my buddies, Who rode with
me each day
Juanita and Ron Peterson, Helped draft me along
the way!
And what about our leaders, Who handled us with
care
Jeff had a pony tail, And poor Jim had no hair!
And my friend Joe Lapinski, Who never met a
man
He didnt want to talk to, Beside a roadside
stand!
And Mary Ann and Marcia, Who handle it all so
well!
They know Bud and Joe are crazy, But they would
never tell!
And finally, the miracle, The bike we call Big
Jim
There must be something to it, Everyone talks
to him!
Its really been a pleasure, Meeting all
of you
If youre ever in Minneapolis, Call us,
Please do!
Well take you out to dinner, And give
a private tour
Well talk about our biking, Up in Michigan
for sure!!
