In highschool, you played every sport - And still
stay quite fit
You keep showing up for marathons - Get a bike
and learn to sit
You’ve played in bands forever - Organizing
each day
You’ve taken them worldwide - Making friends
along the way!
You have a million stories - When rooms that were
reserved
Ended up, not existing - But you never lost your
nerve
You went on with the concerts - Pretending all
was well
And in the end it was - With many more stories
to tell!!
At planning you’re a marvel - Though trained
as an engineer
That’s why you like fixing things - Especially,
if they have a gear
Linda and you have two children - Melanie and
Mark
You’ve both worked hard at raising them -
At times, it was no lark!!
But each of us are judged - Not by worldly fame
But how we open up our hearts - To help the sick
and lame
And Gordy you’re quite special - In caring
for Mom and Dad
They never saw a nursing home - You gave them
all you had!!
Now in talking to your family - Many facts are
known
Like Gordy, you’re a packrat - And your head
was made for phones
If something really needs fixing - You’d
rather do it yourself
It’s that feeling of independence - And hanging
onto your wealth!!
