HAPPY GRADUATION SHOOTER!!

He came into the store, and oh what a sight

He was chewing on some candy, and his smile was just right

He wanted a job, for money to earn

He was game for it all, he was willing to learn

Go pick up pine cones, we’ll pay for each one

Little did we know, he’d gather almost a ton

We knew right away, a keeper he’d be

Then "Pine Cone Bob", was his name, don’t you see

The pine cones were gathered, so to fliers he went

Five cents a piece, to front doors he was sent

He never seemed to tire, and there was always that grin

He was loved by one and all, it was almost a sin

Then on to racquetball, where I taught him to play

The competition was fierce, day after day

Finally he ground me, off of the court

But "Racquetball Bob", was a pretty good sport

At Schaaf Floral he continued, to rise with the cream

He was selling to customers, and his eye had a gleam

He even made corsages, believe it or not

For a guy still in high school, that’s quite a shot

I remember asking, what’s your goal here in school?

With the answer he gave, I knew he wasn’t a fool

The National Honor Society and college, for a teacher I’ll be

Elementary Education is where it’s at, and that’s for me

Then on to pool school, and "Shooter" he became

We weren’t the best in the class, but it was never the same

Now "Shooter", go forward, your gifts you must share

Go teach the young children, that they too must care!!
