A Toast to Kelly & Brian!!

Since I’m brother of the groom – And also Bestman

I rise for a toast – But first, let me act as historian

Brian’s my older brother – But, also my best friend

So don’t worry brother – I’ll say nothing to offend!!

But there is this one story – When we were just kids

I was riding my go-cart – And he covered my eyelids

Not being able to see – I ran into a snow bank

I left the scene of the crime – He ended up in the tank!!

We both were too young – To be driving that cart

He only got a block – When the cops did their part

They took him to the station – Where they made him park

Our dad had to go get it – Which was the end of that lark!!

And also the time at the babysitters – Rememember you and me

We were playing tag – And you didn’t see

You went running around the corner – And got flattened right out

You collided with a St. Bernard – Running right into his snout!!

My brother has a penchant – For falling and breaking a bone

Just ask my mother - If he wasn’t quite prone

There was the time with Roger – When he fell off the seesaw

And then playing basketball – When the padding had a flaw!!

He and Kelly are perfect – Their’s is a strong common bond

And the company she works for – Brian is quite fond

She works for Anheiser-Busch – Which is Brian’s favorite beer

Hey! I speak from my heart – I’m not talking with a sneer!!

Both of them are runners – And Kelly loves to ski

Brian’s going to learn – Which might be fun to see

He’s more into tennis – But considers himself a handy guy

And since they own a house – That’s a skill he can apply!!

Now it’s time to get serious – Since I’ve had my fun

And you’ve all got a sense – Of my mother and fathers 4th son

It’s time for a toast – To my brother and his bride

I love you both dearly – I say this with pride!!

HEAR!! HEAR!!
