Merry Xmas all you kiwanians

Hasn’t it been a fun year

We’ve all worked very hard

So we have reason to cheer

We gathered food for the needy

Raised money for the poor

Taught the kids about leadership

And still had time for more

We’ve had many interesting speakers

Though some seemed quite long

We were pitched by some causes

And even sang some songs

We sold peaches last summer

And peanuts in December

We ate the pig in October

And changed Presidents if you remember

Old officers left smiling

But we gave it not a thought

Wes found out the reason

While searching for the balance he sought

If your not all aware now

Then lets get in the game

Our secretary, treasurer & president

Are more than just a name

Theres money to account for

And reports they need to file

If they didn’t do it

Can you imagine the pile

Though we take them for granted

At least once every year

We should stand and applaud them

And give them a cheer

And even more astounding

Is our Secretary’s role

He’s got a term never ending

How’s that for a goal

And now about the Chuckerster

Our president you know

He wants to brag about Kiwanis

With large signs that we can show

It not a bad idea

I think the world should know

We really work our buns off

So lets put on a show

And what about Old Smoke

Doesn’t he owe the club a break

If he doesn’t take the rag back

What other parties will I make

So far we’ve had the pig roast

With one scheduled for the Spring

Everyone’s put in their money

I guess parties are the thing

I don’t want to forget about Dennis

As a DK, he’s next to none

The guy who really wants him back

Is our Prez, Chuck Dettman

For Dennis made the rule up

If it’s your birthday bring some cake

So his birthday came in October

And no appearance did he make

Is he coming back to join us

Or will he go and fade away

Let’s all start to call him

So he knows what we have to say

So in this Xmas season

Let’s not forget to pause

And thank the almighty power

For helping with our cause

It’s the youth we go to bat for

To help them understand

There’s rules that you can follow

Like footprints in the sand

Oh there’s things that might seem painful

But perception is the key

If you really don’t expect it

You’ve lost nothing, don’t you see

So I wish you Merry Xmas

And lift my glass to you in cheer

There’s money to raise for the youth

We’ll be calling early next year
