Each of us are born - Children of the Omnipotent
God
With lessons to pass on - Sometimes, with no
more than a nod
Mary, you were special - As were the lessons
that you taught
Sometimes your life wasnt easy - But all
the harder, then you fought!!
You kept your family together - And taught the
lesson of "tough love"
Sometimes when being ignored - Youd give
a gentle shove
You and Bob raised two children - Working hard,
but having fun
When told that you were terminal - You refused
to be outdone!!
You loved cleaning flowers - And when the buckets
felt like lead
You taught us determination - On your inspiration,
each of us fed
You never ever complained - So none of us knew
your hurt
You didnt criticize or gossip - You werent
into spreading dirt!!
You taught that family came first - Always doing
your very best
You didnt want special treatment - Down
deep, you were on a quest
I really believe you knew - God had given you
a special task
To answer questions for people - Questions,
we didnt need to ask!!
You taught us by example - A good life, humble
and true
Many of us that watched you - Were amazed at
what you could do
And now that youve moved on - To join
our Father, Mother, God
Weve also learned the lesson - Not to
have a false facade!!
So Mary, Mary, Mary - May God wrap you in his
arms
For youve earned your place in heaven
- With your very special charms
And know well keep those memories - Special
ones that well all share
Stored forever in our hearts - When we send
you out a prayer!!
