We’ve done our good deeds-The man behind the desk

My presidents job is over-I know he’ll do a fine job

Now Chuck will take the lead -With the help of all the rest

When I first came to join you-Although I’m stepping down

You treated me quite good-Please remember I’ll be around

I know Mary broke the ground-To help on special projects

As a good past president should-Or just get them off the ground

The major stuff is over -We take our turn recycling

Our reputation is great -And youth leadership was great

We sold peaches and pears-Now we’re bell ringing at Xmas

Right down to the last crate-And the peaches pay the freight

Whenever help was needed-I wish I’d had more time

Someone’s would take the nod-To do the job just right

For in Kiwanis it’s service-But maybe part of the fun

That’s our lightening rod-Is when the timing is so tight

I must say with candor-So gentlemen and ladies

I’m glad it’s finally through-It’s time to bid adieu

The year it was a long one-I’m no longer Madam President

There were days I came to rue-My job is finally through

We’ve had members who left us-But I’ll see you at the pig roast

While others joined our ranks-And the meetings I’ll attend

Everyone does what they can-But this chapter of my life

For that we give our thanks-Has now come to an end fini
