40th Reunion/9/26/98

First of all - A thank you needs to be done

To your classmate Wayne Marzolf - Who coordinated a successful reunion

We gathered in Preston - And had a great time

Reliving the old days - Each of us, past our prime!!

Most brought their spouses - For all of us to see

Willie furnished the hordoeuvres - Which we devoured with glee

Lud, Lynn, Dean and Tom - Told war stories, of 40 years ago

Clark and Willie were grousing - About Eddie Websters, don’t you know!!

Marcia brought table bouquets - And was looking cute as could be

You might call me prejudice - Since she came with me

Milo came late - And missed all of the meal

But he looked pretty well fed - So it wasn’t a big deal!!

Phyllis and Howard - Both came from the Badger state

Each had their spouses - Of which neither was a classmate

There was a big pow-wow - With Sigrid and Eileen

Judy, Emily and Patricia - Were all three on the scene!!

Barbara and Ron - If you don’t know of whom I speak

Then you didn’t attend - And your curiosity I tweak

Ernest and Glen - Were seen huddled to chat

Everyone seemed happy - And each was a diplomat!!

Now the food was superb - With both ham and roast beef

You could have all that you wanted - Which to some was a relief

I won’t cast aspersions - Since I went back at least twice

Coach Denny did a fine job - And the green beans had great spice!!

Wayne gave awards - But I don’t remember what for

He turned the meeting over to Lud - Who had the big chore

Of recruiting the next Chairman - For the big forty-five

That’s assuming we’re healthy - Or even alive!!

Well, Patricia volunteered - And I think it’ll go well

For we all had such fun - And no raised hell

But as each person departed - It was music to my ears

They had one thing to say - "I’ll see you in five years!!
