Another chapter is closing - On a very beautiful
life
You’ve lessened peoples pain - Amongst
all the strife
With a visionary’s eye - You managed to
see past it all
When other’s are in the Spring - You’re
enjoying the Fall!!
You started with the children - Helping them
to learn
With your gentle touch of love - You didn’t
have to be stern
You shaped many lives - And made this a better
place
All the while serving the Lord - And it showed
on your face!!
And when you needed help - You’d call in
a dog
Sheba or Brandy could be seen - Coming through
the fog
And for those not convinced - Your guidance
was divine
They should meet those you’ve helped -
And that’s a very long line!!
You grew up in Bloomington - Where your faith
first was found
You studied in Sinsinoma - And your home at
The Mound
Then on to The Villa - Where you cared for the
old
When Al Hofstede started asking - "Go get
Sister Ruth", he was told!!
You and Al became partners - In an unbelievable
task
You built Catholic Eldercare - The question
why, was never asked
For right from the start - You learned every
name
And spoke with your heart - People were never
the same!!
The folks that you worked with - Were never
in doubt
Your feelings were genuine - Your spirit devout
But life must go on - And now others need you
So it’s home to The Mound - There’s
things you must do!!
Of course you’ll be back - To check on
your sheep
For part of your spirit - Catholic Eldercare
