Lord I’ve got a problem - I need to resolve

In working with people - Sometimes selfishness will evolve

Should I just walk away - And move on with my life

Or hang in with the task - And work through the strife!!

We’re told not to judge - But what does that mean?

To ignore what is happening - My senses are too keen

Observations and judgements - Can cause great debate

Observations are just watched - No action do you take!!

Now I find this quite hard - To stand by and see

When a friend might be hurt - And others giggle with glee

For if someone is sick - Shouldn’t we all lift a hand

Couldn’t that also be a judgement - If we don’t take a stand?!!

Lord, here is my question - Is it really that bad

To jump into the fracus - When someone is sad

To gather the facts - And help those who are ill

Don’t we all become dysfunctional - When we swallow the bitter pill!!

Of course it’s not easy - But you can’t run away

If it’s done with a loving heart - The good people will stay

Ó For the world is not perfect - Though we all pray it to be

Sometimes bravery is needed - So everyone can see!!

So how does this happen - How do we proceed

By facing the issues - And not ignoring the need

For it really is our business - If we’re part of the group

If behavior is inappropriate - It’s hurts the whole troup!!

It’s easy to spot - It doesn’t take a great eye

We must step forward and address it - Not sit back and sigh

For the sick want our help - And also our strength

If we sit back and ignore them - They could go to great lengths!!

So Lord, give us the strength - To stand up and endure the pain

For we love our brothers and sisters - And wish them every gain

For really our only mission - Is to spread your loving word

And these things we call distractions - Sometimes seem so absurd!!
