Thank you Mom & Dad - For everything you’ve
done
I know it wasn’t easy - And it wasn’t
always fun
All your hard work and tears - Were not expended
for naught
And whenever temptation enters - I do exactly
what you taught!!
You taught me to work hard - And to give an
honest days work
For the pay that I receive - And take responsibility
and never shirk
And when the days seem long - And the job is
far from through
You taught me to keep working - And finish what
I had to do!!
You showed me through your actions - To respect
all of mankind
And respect would be returned to me - You always
would remind
You taught me to speak in the positive - Or
not to utter a word
And most of all, to think for myself - And not
just follow the herd!!
Yes, and all the sacrifices - You made just
for me
For those times I didn’t thank you - Remember,
kids have that tendency
And for all the times we played - Where you
always stressed fair play
I’ve passed it on to others - In the exact
same way!!
And now I get the chance - To show you something
new
By bringing you to work - And to let you get
a view
For I’m very proud of my company - Medtronic
is good to me
And they’ve provided this opportunity -
For all the parents to see!!
And that’s why I’m so thankful - That
you provided me this chance
By teaching me a work ethic - So that I could
advance
But isn’t it ironic - That we’re all
here today
Celebrating our parents - In such a symbolic

For life really is a marvel - But some things
you can predict
Kindness, hard work and forgiveness - Eliminates
all conflict
So Mom and Dad, I thank you - For all the wisdom
you impart
But also for the patience - And the love that
filled your heart!!
