A Toast to Vivian and Ron

Since I’m the maid of honor - And sister of the bride

I will give you a little background - Information from the inside

Now Vivian’s a Florida Gator - And Ron graduated from Purdue

Vivian’s in finance - And tighter than anyone you ever knew!!

She knows how to stretch a penny - Till it cries out in pain

But she is able to save money - Which she’ll have for that day with rain

Getting back to college - Vivian and her friend Peg

Were known as the disco queens - Really good at shaking a leg!!

Ron’s into computers - And also an electrical engineer

They both work for Harris Corporation - For twenty years of their career!!

They say that opposites attract - Wait till you hear what I have to say

Vivian doesn’t cook at all - And Ron is a gourmet!!

They already have a family - The Tiki and Fred Bird

Two lovely exotic housemates - Which some might find absurd

Vivian loves Beanie Babies - And chased me all over town

Standing in line at McDonalds - I felt just like a clown!!

The first time Ron met our dad - He gave Daddy an affectionate hug

With Daddy not being a hugger - He wanted to crawl right under the rug

Now every time Ron comes near - Even if it’s just to stand

Daddy gets a little nervous - And starts shaking Ron’s hand!!

Now Ron has a little problem - Growing up in the great midwest

Every time theres a Hurricane warning - He starts packing, as though obsessed

Though I’ve been having fun - With the information I impart

This match was made in heaven - I’m speaking from my heart!!

But it’s time for us to toast - My sister and her new groom

So lets all raise our glasses - Each of us in this room

May your lives be long and happy - May your love continue to grow

Years from now may you feel the same - And keep that magical glow!!
